SETTING YOUR BROWSER TO ALLOW 'COOKIES'

NOTE: If you use an email program like Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, or Eudora to send and receive email, you do not need to use the instructions below. These instructions are for those who log into their email accounts at our web site, by entering an email address and password at the top, left part of the page.

If you are unable to log in to the web-based email system, it is probably because your browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape) is configured to reject "cookies". In order to log in, you will need to set your browser to allow cookies. The cookies used by the email system are very small, harmless files that are used to help remember your configuration settings each time you log in. To configure your browser to allow cookies, use the instructions for your browser below...

DETERMINING YOUR BROWSER VERSION:

  • Click Help at the top of your browser.
  • Click About Internet Explorer (or About Netscape or About Communicator).
  • You should see your browser version listed there.
  • Click the OK button (or click the Back button in Netscape).

ALLOWING COOKIES IN INTERNET EXPLORER 6:

  • Click Tools at the top of Internet Explorer.
  • Click Internet Options at the bottom of the list.
  • Click the Privacy tab at the top of the box that pops up.
  • Click the Advanced button.
  • Select "Override automatic cookie handling".
  • Under "First party cookies", choose Accept.
  • Under "Third party cookies", choose Block.
  • Select "Always allow session cookies".
  • Click the OK button.
  • Click the OK button at the bottom.

ALLOWING COOKIES IN INTERNET EXPLORER 5:

  • Click Tools at the top of Internet Explorer.
  • Click Internet Options at the bottom of the list.
  • Click the Security tab at the top of the box that pops up.
  • Click the Default Level button near the bottom of the box.
  • Click the OK button at the bottom.

ALLOWING COOKIES IN INTERNET EXPLORER 4:

  • Click View at the top of Internet Explorer.
  • Click Internet Options.
  • Click the Advanced tab at the top of the box that pops up.
  • Scroll down to the Cookies section and select "Always Accept Cookies".
  • Click the OK button at the bottom.

ALLOWING COOKIES IN NETSCAPE 6 and 7:

  • Click Edit at the top of Netscape.
  • Click Preferences at the bottom of the list.
  • Click on the triangle next to Privacy and Security on the left side of the screen.
  • Click on Cookies.
  • Select "Enable cookies for the originating web site only".
  • Click the OK button at the bottom.

ALLOWING COOKIES IN NETSCAPE 4:

  • Click Edit at the top of Netscape.
  • Click Preferences at the bottom of the list.
  • Click on Advanced on the left side of the box that pops up.
  • In the Cookies section, select "Accept only cookies that get sent...".
  • Click the OK button at the bottom.
